MemphisWeather.net offers a mobile application that grants access to a range of weather services, ensuring you are well-informed while on the move. The MWN app includes current weather conditions, StormView Radar, satellite imagery, severe weather outlooks from SPC, the MWN Forecast, a severe weather reporting tool (#mSpotter), and the option for StormWatch+ push notifications for automatic alerts of severe weather across the U.S., all in an iPad-optimized format.

About StormWatch+

StormWatch+ is a premium service that delivers alerts whenever severe weather poses a threat to your exact location, regardless of your county, anywhere in the U.S. By cross-referencing storm-based warnings issued by the National Weather Service with up to four designated locations, push notification alerts are triggered if your registered location falls within the NWS-issued warning polygon. Upon receiving an alert, utilizing the MemphisWeather.net app will allow you to visualize your selected location in relation to the warning polygon on a map and access the full alert text.

Recently, our new "StormWatch+ EnRoute" service has enhanced three static warning locations. This service enables users to receive severe weather alerts while on the go by activating EnRoute mode, which tracks your location - even in the background - and notifies you when approaching a warned area.
